A Long Journey Through The Night is a triptych of aluminum plates on which is digitally printed a scanned image of a large mushroom. The title refers to the Egyptian myth of the battle occurring every night between Ra and the serpent Apophis for the sun to rise. Uncertainty is part of the fabric of the universe, the spores are relentlessly dispersing themselves and trying to sprout, even whilst their vessel is being destroyed.
